We would appreciate your consideration in using our very experienced facilitation team who have years’ experience in the skills development industry and have established them within the SAQA Accredited Training Arena over the past few years.

THWALA TRAINING SERVICES was established to assist every person that is dedicated to the development of our people. We are committed to the education, training and development of previously disadvantaged individuals as training providers.  By assisting them we will be able to enrich the knowledge and skills of millions of people within South Africa. This company assists them from the registration through to the end of their first registered learnership. Our involvement is limited to technical support and not to the management of the business.

THWALA TRAINING SERVICES have an experienced team of managers, educationalists and administrative personnel and source facilitators and assessors from a wide pool of contract workers which we have at our disposal. The contract workers are all experienced, trained and qualified facilitators, assessors and moderators in delivering outcomes-based training.

THWALA TRAINING SERVICES’s training is wide-ranged in scope, including a variety of different qualifications and skills programmes across a wide range of fields.

We are, inter alia, involved in driver and material handling training and are accredited with TETA.

THWALA TRAINING SERVICES is a Level 4 BEE company being an exempt micro enterprise.

COMPANY DIRECTOR

Prior to starting THWALA TRAINING SERVICES, he was employed by Vaal Enigma Training Services and Primeserv Training where he managed the operational departments, office systems and a staff of 87.

He concentrated on the Road Freight Transport sector and his main activities and responsibilities were:

  • Train own staff
  • All transport related training
  • Developing new training material according TETA guidelines
  • Driver and Dangerous Goods training to various clients in South-Africa
  • Health and Safety
  • Operate a Vehicle
  • Operate lifting equipment
  • Operate earthmoving machinery
  • Advance defensive driving and skid pan training
  • Workshop personnel in lifting devices such as car lifts
  • Accident Recording, Investigation and Reporting.
  • Staff evaluation and employment and pre-employment evaluation

He considers himself as gifted to work, communicate and influence people in a positive manner He enjoys challenges and working long hours are no problem. Although self-starter, he is also a team player and enjoy using his initiative to teach and train and assess people in their different environments, isolated or in groups.

He is excited about the development in adult training and jump to the opportunity to teach and transfer skills to the previous disadvantaged. He has a passion for training and firmly believe that if you teach someone a skill, you provide him/her with a tool to be self-sufficient, which is the answer to a healthier economy and a safer Country. He underwrites all the principals as set out by the Saqa & Different Setas

Prior to his commitment to private and industrial training, Gerrie followed a 29year career in the motor industry as

  • Technician
  • Service advisor
  • Service Manager
  • General Manager

Gerrie is well-known for his ability to motivate and uplifting methods to transfer skill and safe working procedures to any person who strive towards a better future to ensure career success.

Working with people are definite one of his qualities and he firmly beliefs in the principles set out by the different SETA’s and SAQA.
